In anticipation of the summer season and to promote pharmaceutical health awareness, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Farabi University organized a specialized scientific and awareness seminar titled: “Oily Skin in the Summer: Problems and Solutions.”
Seminar Pillars: The seminar addressed several essential points regarding skin health and care, most notably:
- Physiological Changes: The impact of high temperatures and humidity on increased sebum secretion and enlarged pores.
- Common Problems: Discussing acne breakouts, skin inflammations, and the effects of UV radiation on oily skin.
- Pharmaceutical Solutions: Reviewing the best medical products and the appropriate daily routine to prevent summer-related skin issues.
- Product Awareness: How to choose sunblocks and oil-free cleansers suitable for the Iraqi climate.
The event witnessed significant engagement from students and faculty members, featuring discussions on the importance of pharmaceutical consultation in selecting cosmetic and therapeutic products to ensure skin safety.
