Petroleum Engineering
The Department of Petroleum Engineering was established in the 2013-2014 academic year and includes specialized laboratories in the field of oil and natural gas engineering in addition to the prevailing laboratories with specialization that are comparable to laboratories in prestigious universities. Laboratories such as the Oil Reservoirs Lab, the Well-Drilling Fluids Test Lab, the Reservoir Model Lab, the Oil and Natural Gas Properties Lab, and the Geology Lab, are available for the students and equipped with the up-to-date digital instruments and modern simulation software. The department aims to prepare efficient graduate engineers who are able to work in the public and private sector companies in the oil and extractive oil and gas industries, including oil drilling and production, Natural gas, field management, secondary oil recovery, as well as speculative calculations of oil and gas reserves.
