Pharmacy

The Department of Pharmacy was launched at Al-Farabi University College by virtue of Ministerial Order No. 9094 dated 12-27-2020. From the start, the department combined faculty members who hold doctorate and master degrees, in addition to two bachelor degree holders as technicians. The duration of study in the pharmacy department is 5 years, with a semester system (two semesters for each academic year), 139 hours of study, and 185 cumulative units. The department aims to achieve a set of cognitive and skill goals that will provide students with scientific information within the various disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences, which include pharmaceutical and medical chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, Physiology, clinical pharmacy, Pharmacognosy , medicinal plants, laboratory analysis, Pharmaceutics and many basic sciences. It also enriches the curricula with scientific lessons to gain skills and experience and prepare qualified graduates to work in the public and private institutions.
