Optics Techniques

The Department of Optic Techniques was established in the academic year 2018-2019 due to the great demand for optometrists and optical instrument technicians in health institutions and centers, according to the widespread use of eyeglasses, lenses and eye diseases. The department aims to prepare efficient technicians in examining vision and diagnosing diseases of the eye and graduating specialists who are able to deal with the eye in an integrated manner, from examining vision and diagnosing disease cases and transferring them to the appropriate clinics. It also aims to graduate qualified people to work as opticians from this logic. The study plan for the department is concerned with early diagnosis and treatment of vision problems and common eye diseases through theoretical and practical work in laboratories and clinical laboratories to be in direct contact with experienced specialists.
