Al-Farabi University’s College of Administration and Economics Strengthens Academic Partnerships by Signing a MOU with Baghdad Administrative Polytechnic College

As part of its strategic direction to expand academic partnerships and implement the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s directives, the College of Administration and Economics at Al-Farabi University signed a scientific and academic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Baghdad Administrative Polytechnic College on February 9, 2026.

Signing Ceremony and Attendance: The College of Administration and Economics at Al-Farabi University was represented by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Awad Fadel Ismail, in the presence of Dr. Hanaa Abdel Ghaffar Al-Samarrai (Scientific Associate) and Dr. Majda Abdel Hamid (Head of the Risk Management and Insurance Department). Representing the Baghdad Administrative Polytechnic College was the Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Iyad Khalaf Mohammed, attended by the Scientific Associate, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ammar Yahya Daif, and the Administrative Associate, Prof. Dr. Nadia Majeed Hussein.

Objectives and Collaboration Pillars: The MOU aims to enhance cooperation in higher education, scientific research, and academic capacity building in line with quality standards. Key pillars of the agreement include:

  • Scientific Exchange: Exchanging expertise, delivering joint lectures, and supporting publishing in reputable international repositories.
  • Curriculum Development: Aligning curricula between corresponding departments and updating educational programs.
  • Joint Activities: Organizing seminars, workshops, and scientific conferences, as well as participating in joint scientific supervision.
  • Staff Exchange: Promoting academic openness through the exchange of teaching staff and researchers between the two institutions.

This step aims to strengthen Al-Farabi University’s scientific presence and keep pace with modern developments in administration and economics, contributing to improved educational outcomes for both parties.
