The Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Department at the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority – Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in coordination with the College of Science – Al-Farabi University, organized a central training workshop on the National Council’s Accreditation Standards for Science Programs. The event brought together heads of science departments and directors of quality assurance departments and divisions from public and private universities and colleges.
The workshop aimed to enhance the quality of higher education by developing academic programs in line with national accreditation standards, ensuring their alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
- Goal 4: Quality Education
- Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
- Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals
The workshop covered several key topics, including quality assurance mechanisms in scientific disciplines, challenges facing academic accreditation, and ways to improve learning outcomes in accordance with global requirements, contributing to a more advanced and distinguished educational system.
