Professor Dr. Mazen Samir Al-Hakim, Head of the Computer Engineering Department, participated in the Third Annual Iraqi Artificial Intelligence Forum, where he chaired the main discussion session on the reality and future of AI in Iraq.
The forum was held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, organized by the University of Information Technology and Communications in collaboration with Al-Mustaqbal University, under the theme “Keep Up with AI Today and Contribute to Shaping the Future.”
The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Governor of the Central Bank, the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Education Affairs, and the Head of the National Initiative for Education, along with university presidents, deans of public and private colleges, professors, researchers, and AI developers.
This scientific participation aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 17 (strengthening partnerships and institutional cooperation), Goal 11 (sustainable local communities), Goal 9 (industry and innovation), Goal 8 (economic growth), and Goal 4 (quality education for all).
