This guide is called “The Guide to Professional Work Ethics at Al-Farabi University College” and is effective from the date of its approval by the College Council.
Article No. (2)
All applicable legislation in Iraqi legislation, instructions and controls stipulated by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and instructions issued by the Deanship of Al-Farabi University College apply to the materials of this guide.
Article No. (3)
This guide aims to:
a. Establishing and strengthening the rules of academic and professional work ethics at Al-Farabi University College.
B. Building human relations characterized by cooperation and respect among all members.
Article No. (4)
Duties of all faculty members and associates:
1. Performing the tasks assigned to all members with sincerity, honesty and dedication.
2. Working to serve the goals and objectives of the department and college and achieve the public interest alone.
3. Familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and instructions.
4. Commitment to objectivity and impartiality in the teaching performance and not imposing his own opinions in teaching.
5. Not accepting gifts from students or their families and not using his job to obtain legitimate or illegitimate gains.
6. Commitment to appropriate appearance and dress in accordance with university traditions and customs.
7. Preserving the college’s property and not damaging or depleting it.
8. Work on the self-development of the teacher scientifically and research to serve the community through publishing research and participating in scientific conferences and seminars inside and outside the college.
9. Ensuring mutual respect among all college members, away from any behavior that violates public morals.
10. Commitment to calm and positive discussion and a spirit of cooperation with others.
11. Be impartial, equal, and unjust in using job powers.
12. Commitment to the job description and any tasks assigned to all college employees.
13. Honesty in delivering the correct information to the direct supervisor.
14. Taking into account the values ​​of justice and efficiency in distributing job tasks in a manner commensurate with the nature of academic work.
15. Paying attention to taking into account individual differences in performance efficiency, as well as those with special needs.
16. Maintaining the confidentiality of subordinates’ personal information and working to develop them.
17. Not disclosing official information, documents and work-related documents.
18. Refrain from making any comment, statement or intervention related to topics that are still under study or deliberation by the relevant authorities.
19. Keeping the college away from all negative political, sectarian and ethnic manifestations in a way that ensures the unity of society.
20. Refrain from using social media to harm the reputation of the college, its members, and students, for any purpose.
