Advancing the Internationalization of Education: President of Benha University Receives Vice President of Al-Farabi University to Discuss Joint Graduate Programs and Research

In line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research toward internationalizing education, and executing Al-Farabi University’s vision to solidify international academic partnerships, Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University in the Arab Republic of Egypt, received Asst. Prof. Dr. Mazen Samir Al-Hakeem, Vice President of Al-Farabi University for Scientific Affairs.

The meeting aimed to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation across academic, research, and postgraduate domains.

Meeting Highlights and Core Pillars: The meeting was held in the presence of Prof. Dr. Jihan Abdel-Hady Moussa, Vice President of Benha University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, alongside Dr. Mohammad Al-Halfawi, focusing on:

  • Hosting Graduate Programs: Discussing the joint intent to host specialized postgraduate degrees at Al-Farabi University’s campus in Baghdad.
  • Scientific Research & Conferences: Organizing joint international conferences, academic seminars, and collaborative research initiatives between scholars from both institutions.
  • Training & Capacity Building: Implementing skill-development workshops for faculty and students, in addition to specialized field-training programs in Egypt.

Welcome and Operational Roadmap: The President of Benha University warmly welcomed expanding all horizon lines of cooperation with Al-Farabi University, emphasizing his readiness to support joint academic, training, and postgraduate initiatives. Both parties concluded by agreeing to complete the upcoming procedural steps to realize this strategic collaboration between the two sister nations.
