Al-Farabi University, in close coordination and partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of South Korea and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), organized the “Iraqi-Korean Knowledge Sharing Conference” in Baghdad. The event gathered a distinguished assembly of officials, including representatives from various Iraqi ministries and government entities, representatives from the International Labour Organization (ILO), and members of the KOICA Alumni Association in Iraq (KAAI).
Conference Objectives and Core Dimensions: The conference served as an exceptional strategic platform focusing on the following areas:
- Leveraging Acquired Expertise: Highlighting methods to utilize insights gained from specialized training programs in South Korea, adapting and applying this knowledge to serve development priorities within Iraqi institutions.
- Targeted Vital Sectors: Knowledge exchange sessions focused on key developmental pillars, notably higher education, healthcare, public administration, advanced technologies, artificial intelligence applications, and institutional capacity building.
- Global Visions for Sustainable Development: The conference marks a progressive milestone toward bolstering international cooperation in expertise exchange, human resource development, expanding academic scholarships, and executing diverse cultural and scientific programs aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Iraq.
