Within the activities of “Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week – Global Entrepreneurship Week”, and under the slogan (From the Land of the Two Rivers, Ideas Begin), the Accounting and Banking Sciences Department at Al-Farabi University, in collaboration with the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI), organized an awareness workshop titled: “The Impact of Central Bank Financing Initiatives on SME Entrepreneurship.”

- Speaker: Prof. Dr. Samir Fakhri (Head of Statistics and Research Dept. / CBI).
Objectives: Held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Hall F43, the workshop aimed to educate students on financial access via CBI initiatives, specifically the “Riyada” initiative, which offers soft loans and grace periods to support youth in establishing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
