The Department of Oil and Gas Refining Engineering at Al-Farabi University welcomed its new students for the current academic year in an introductory meeting led by the Head of the Department, Dr. Khalid Abdul Ali. Dr. Abdul Ali opened the session with a welcoming speech, wishing the students a university journey filled with success and academic excellence.
The reception program included a comprehensive orientation lecture, during which the Head of the Department reviewed the nature of the Oil and Gas Refining Engineering major, highlighting its strategic and practical importance in the energy sector. The lecture also shed light on future career prospects for graduates in both local and international markets, in addition to introducing students to the approved curriculum and teaching methodologies.
The event concluded with a field tour of the department’s specialized scientific laboratories. During the tour, faculty members provided detailed explanations of the advanced laboratory equipment available, emphasizing its vital role in supporting the practical aspects of the educational process and reinforcing theoretical concepts.
