Al-Farabi University’s Design Department Explores European Architecture in “Designs Around the World” Workshop

The Department of Design at the College of Arts, Al-Farabi University, organized a specialized scientific workshop today, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, titled “Designs Around the World.”

The workshop served as an enrichment lecture in the field of interior design, aiming to highlight the latest architectural designs within European civilizations and their influence on modern spaces.

A notable feature of the event was the active student involvement, as the session was presented by student Ayat Amir Khader Hassan (3rd Year, Interior Design) in collaboration with Dr. Hussein Alaa Radhi, a lecturer in the Design Department. The workshop emphasized the critical importance of tracking modern developments and creative concepts to keep pace with global evolution in the design industry.

The event took place in “Basra Hall” at the College of Law, attended by a distinguished group of faculty members and students. The attendees enriched the workshop with scientific interventions and constructive discussions regarding the future of design.
