Al-Farabi University President Commends Cybersecurity Department’s Achievements and Pledges Support for Innovative Projects

The President of Al-Farabi University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhannad Mahdi Al-Jubouri, visited the Department of Cybersecurity Sciences on Monday, December 7th, where he met with faculty members and students.

During the visit, the University President reviewed the latest scientific innovations and projects developed by the students under the supervision of the department’s faculty. Dr. Al-Jubouri praised the outstanding quality of these projects, which have secured advanced positions in various internal and external scientific exhibitions and workshops, highlighting the creative ideas that keep pace with rapid technological advancements.

Dr. Al-Jubouri emphasized Al-Farabi University’s readiness to adopt and incubate outstanding projects, particularly applied ones, to achieve the following goals:

  • Building a solid foundation for launching pioneering startups in personal data protection and web security.
  • Fortifying the cyber space against digital attacks by designing effective protection systems.
  • Supplying the labor market, government sectors, banks, and private institutions with highly skilled experts and advanced cybersecurity systems.
  • Creating cultural and societal awareness regarding cybersecurity concepts to serve the national interest.

In conclusion, the Head of the Cybersecurity Department expressed his gratitude to the University Presidency for the continuous financial and moral support.
