The activities of the 4th Schools Programming and Innovation Championship 2025 concluded last Saturday. The event was organized by the IoT KIDS Center in cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Education and hosted by Zain Iraq.
The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Saad Ahmed Diab, Director of the Office of the Minister of Education and Administrative Assistant for the Gifted Care Authority. The championship featured active academic participation from Al-Farabi University, represented by Dr. Al-Muntadhar Mahmoud, Head of the Computer Engineering Department, who served as a member of the judging panel to select the winning projects.
Eight pioneering projects qualified for the final stage, where students presented their work before a panel of experts. In addition to the Al-Farabi University representative, the panel included:
- Mr. Nizar Muhammad Saeed (Director of the Information and Communications Center at the Ministry of Education).
- Mr. Amin Abdul Munim (Director of Customer Experience Unit at Zain Iraq).
- Mr. Ammar Al-Khatib (CEO of Soul Group).
The final results announced student Layan Khaled as the winner of the Grand Prize (a trip to Dubai including a visit to the Museum of the Future) for her project “Fundy.” Student Amin Salah won second place for his project “Al-Idrisi,” while student Sulafa Sabah secured third place for her project “AI School Guard.”
