Al-Farabi University Scientific Assistant Explores “Unitree” Robotics Technologies in TechBridge Week 5

The second track of the TechBridge program at Al-Farabi University continued with high momentum. The fifth week, held on November 17, 2025, was dedicated to exploring one of the most advanced technical fields under the theme: “Introduction to Robot Development and Programming.”

This week was distinguished by a specialized lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Mazin Al-Hakeem, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, titled: “Unitree Robot Software, Hardware Perception, Motion Planning, Dynamics and Controls.”

Dr. Al-Hakim detailed the complex software and structural architecture of advanced Unitree robots, highlighting key pillars in robotics, including:

  • Hardware Perception: How robots sense their environment.
  • Motion Planning: Mechanisms for determining optimal paths.
  • Dynamics and Controls: Concepts enabling robots to balance and make decisions in complex environments.

The lecture added a significant practical dimension to the program, bridging the coding foundations students acquired in previous weeks with real-world applications in intelligent systems. This reflects Al-Farabi University’s commitment to providing an educational experience that aligns with the latest global technological trends.
