The Department of Computer Engineering at Al-Farabi University has launched the first week of the TechBridge Program, a training initiative designed to enhance students’ understanding of labor market requirements and build a genuine bridge between academic knowledge and globally demanded professional skills.
The first week focused on the theme of Computer Fundamentals and carried the title:
“Introduction to Computer Engineering and Career Pathways.”
This week, the department hosted:
- Prof. Dr. Mazin Al-Hakim, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, who presented the university’s vision for empowering students with future-ready skills.
- Mr. Firas Ghadhanfar, who highlighted the importance of the English language in the job market and explained its direct relevance to three key pillars:
Employment – Skills – Market Needs.
Both sessions contributed to clarifying a clear professional roadmap for students, introducing them to in-demand specializations, and guiding them toward the skills required for readiness in both local and global markets.
This first week marks a strong beginning for the TechBridge Program, reflecting Al-Farabi University’s commitment to providing a modern educational environment that fosters continuous development and places students at the center of engagement with real-world labor market demands.
