The Women’s Affairs Division at Al-Farabi University, in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy, organized a breast cancer awareness event on Monday, October 20, 2025, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The event was attended by faculty members and students and included scientific lectures delivered by specialists in medicine and pharmacy. The sessions focused on the importance of early detection, prevention methods, and the role of women in promoting health awareness within society. Interactive discussions were also held, along with the distribution of educational brochures and awareness materials.
The Women’s Affairs Division emphasized that the purpose of this event is to raise awareness about one of the most common diseases among women and to encourage early screening, which significantly increases recovery rates. The College of Pharmacy expressed its commitment to supporting scientific and community initiatives that contribute to public health.
