In a vibrant display of intellect and creativity, Al-Farabi University hosted the latest episode of the educational competition show MaxsssX, bringing together students from across Iraq to compete in English-language challenges. The event featured Musr Hassam, a gifted student from Baghdad, and Youssef Thaer, a cybersecurity major at Al-Farabi, in a head-to-head contest that blended vocabulary games, theatrical performance, and audience interaction. Held on campus, the episode showcased the university’s commitment to innovative learning. Contestants tackled image-based vocabulary questions, word puzzles, and even performed dramatic readings. A standout moment was the English-language theatrical adaptation of Dr. Faustus, performed by English teacher and rising actor Mohammed Rasool. The competition concluded with Musr Hassam winning first place and a prize of 425,000 IQD, while Youssef Thaer secured second place with 300,000 IQD. Audience members also received cash prizes for correct answers, with one lucky participant winning twice through a live Instagram draw.
