As part of academic cooperation between architecture departments across Iraqi universities, a distinguished delegation of faculty members from the Department of Architecture – College of Engineering / University of Baghdad participated in the evaluation of several fifth-year graduation projects at the Department of Architecture – Al-Farabi University. The evaluations took place on Saturday and Sunday, May 24–25, 2025.
On Saturday, May 24, 2025, the evaluation committee included:
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Osama Abdul-Munim Al-Tamimi
- Dr. Inas Hassan Al-Bakri
They reviewed a project titled:
“Urban and Heritage Redevelopment for Reviving the Area between Al-Shohadaa Bridge and Al-Sumoual Street – Historic Rusafa Side”
Submitted by students Adnan Kamal and Ahmed Jawad, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bahjat Rashad Shaheen.
On Sunday, May 25, 2025, the evaluation committee included:
- Dr. Ammar Saleh Ashour
- Dr. Hala Shamsi Al-Diwani
They evaluated two outstanding architectural projects:
- “Music Institute for Baghdadi Studies” by student Shaimaa Thamer
- “Tourist Resort” by student Saba
Supervised by a group of professors from Al-Farabi University’s Architecture Department.
These projects demonstrated a high level of academic and design quality, reflecting the remarkable efforts of both students and their instructors, and contributing to the enhancement of academic collaboration and knowledge exchange among Iraqi architecture departments.
