In an important step to enhance Iraq’s efforts in the field of artificial intelligence, Prof. Dhiya Al-Jumeily, Prime Minister’s Advisor for Artificial Intelligence, paid an official visit to Al-Farabi University. The visit aimed at strengthening cooperation between the government and academic institutions to develop and expand the use of artificial intelligence across various sectors.
The visit focused on enhancing progress in the implementation of strategic programs that support the dissemination and advancement of artificial intelligence in education and scientific research. The meeting also discussed ways for collaboration between the university, research centers, and government agencies to develop academic programs that support modern skills in this field.
Prof. Dhiya Al-Jumeily emphasized during the visit the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and the government, aiming to build a generation capable of innovation in modern technological fields, with artificial intelligence being a key focus, thus strengthening Iraq’s position on the international stage.
On his part, the President of Al-Farabi University expressed his appreciation for the visit, confirming that the university is committed to hosting the latest educational and research programs that align with technological advancements in the field of artificial intelligence, contributing to enhancing the level of higher education in Iraq.
