Today, Al-Farabi University concluded the fourth edition of the Al-Farabi Team Chess Championship 2025, with the Pharmacy Department securing first place, followed by the Optometry Technology Department in second place, and the Computer Engineering Department in third place.
The championship was attended by the Dean of Al-Farabi University, who presented the awards to the participating students in support of student activities that enhance both mental and sports skills.
It is also worth mentioning that Al-Farabi University’s chess team achieved a remarkable milestone in the latest edition of the national university championship, securing second place in the tournament hosted by the University of Technology, with the participation of 37 universities from across Iraq.
