Al-Farabi University College Organizes a First Aid Workshop to Promote Health Awareness

Under the esteemed patronage of Professor Ahmed Gailan, Dean of Al-Farabi University College, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Nursing Department and the Psychological Counseling Unit, organized an educational workshop on First Aid. This initiative is part of the implementation of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security, focusing on prevention and protection.

The workshop was held on February 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Fundamentals of Nursing Hall, featuring a distinguished panel of experts:

  • Dr. Worood Ali
  • Dr. Fadel Ahmed
  • Assistant Lecturer Ghufran Hadi
  • Ms. Solaf Ali Ahmed
  • Ms. Farqad Abdulqadir

The session was led by Dr. Ilham Ameen Jadoa, Head of the Nursing Department, who highlighted the importance of First Aid and its vital role in saving lives and reducing health complications in emergencies.

This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being and Goal 4: Quality Education, by raising awareness and enhancing medical knowledge among students and the wider community.
