Al-Farabi University College participated in a workshop titled “Regulatory Framework for Companies Specialized in Cybersecurity Services in Iraq,” organized by the Board of Trustees of the Communications and Media Commission. The event brought together a distinguished group of academics, experts, and specialists in computing, communications, network security, and cybersecurity.
The college was represented by:
- Prof. Dr. Mazin Samir Ali – Head of the Computer Engineering Department
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Habib Kashmar – Head of the Cybersecurity Science Department
- Lecturer M.M. Al-Muntadhar Mahmoud Abdul Wahid – Rapporteur of the Computer Engineering Department
The workshop focused on discussing regulatory aspects related to cybersecurity services in Iraq and was held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Al-Mansour Melia Hotel in Baghdad.
This participation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and Goal 4 (Quality Education).
