As part of efforts to enhance academic and research collaboration between Iraqi universities, Al-Farabi University, represented by its Dean, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Gailan Abdullah, and the University of Basrah, represented by its Dean, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, signed a twinning and cooperation agreement aimed at elevating both universities and strengthening their international standing.
The signing ceremony took place today, Wednesday, February 5, at the presidency of the University of Basrah, covering the cooperation between the Cybersecurity Department at Al-Farabi University and the College of Computer Science and Information Technology / Cybersecurity Department at the University of Basrah.
Al-Farabi University was represented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Habib Kashmar, Head of the Cybersecurity Department, while the University of Basrah was represented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Haider Mahdi, Head of the Cybersecurity Department.
The agreement includes several areas of collaboration, such as scientific research, teaching, student activities, administration, career development, conducting joint examinations, and exchanging scientific expertise.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Jabbar Ameen, Director of the Cultural Relations Division at the University of Basrah, Dr. Luay Faleh Hassan from Al-Farabi University, and several other officials from the University of Basrah.
