Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Naim Abd Yasser Al-Aboudi, the activities of the University Sustainability Scout Camp concluded. The camp, organized by the Student Activities Department within the Supervisory and Scientific Evaluation Authority, was held at the Al-Hadbaa Scout Camp in Nineveh Province.
The camp aimed to raise awareness about sustainability among students from various Iraqi universities and to develop their scouting and leadership skills within a collaborative environment. The activities spanned four days and included numerous educational and recreational events that enhanced the participants’ experience, reflecting the Ministry of Higher Education’s commitment to youth development and engaging them in achieving sustainable development goals.
Al-Farabi University achieved a notable accomplishment by securing second place in this camp, highlighting the creativity and excellence of its students. The representative of the Student Activities Division at Al-Farabi University, Mr. Mohammed Ihsan, emphasized the importance of this participation in developing students’ skills and promoting sustainability values.
It is worth noting that this success underscores the university’s vision of fostering active participation in activities that aim to enhance youth skills.
