Physical chemistry course offers fundamental understanding to the quantitative aspects of chemical systems. The course covers the key concepts of three of the principal topics in second-year undergraduate physical chemistry:  Phase Equilibria including Chemical equilibrium and thermodynamic properties: entropy, enthalpy, free energy, chemical potential, Chemical kinetics concerning Kinetic theory of gases: pressure, effusion, transport and Rate theory: collision theory, transition state theory. The third part is surface chemistry. These three topics cover reactions occurrence, how fast they go and what are the parameters affecting the reaction rate.
